The Blank Party

Someone wrote on Facebook today: if they could just stop voting them in…

About stopping voting I once had this idea:

The Blank Party.

When people voted blank the votes would count towards seats that would be left empty in parliament. This would remind the politicians how many people did not believe they were being represented.
It would not be a legitimate parliament if more than 50% of the seats were empty.
The Blank party could poll totally democratically what its members opinions were on all issues and voice it without any saying of its own.
